What is white noise?
White noise has equal power per unit of frequency across its range. It sounds brighter and hissier than pink or brown noise, which put relatively more weight on lower frequencies. The browser preview lets you hear that contrast directly.
Choose the brightness that suits you.
Start at a low volume. If the hiss feels too bright, try pink for a softer rush or brown for a deeper sound. The same volume setting can feel different across colors and speakers, so adjust it for comfort as you compare.

A little brightness goes a long way.
White can be a starting point or an ingredient. In the forthcoming NoiseWeave app, weave it with brown for depth or pink for a softer balance. Keep your favorite mix ready for offline listening without an account.
