Play noise alongside music, podcasts or audiobooks

Keep your music, podcast or audiobook playing while NoiseWeave adds a layer of noise. Use the app’s audio controls to choose an output and keep the levels comfortable.

Free · iPhone & iPad

Step by step

  1. Allow other audio

Open the sound panel, choose Controls, and turn on Play alongside other audio.

  2. Start your other app

Play the music, podcast or audiobook you want to hear. Return to NoiseWeave and press Play. Each app controls its own content; your device volume affects the combined output.

  3. Balance the sound

Use NoiseWeave’s Volume slider to keep the noise below the voice or music. Start low and adjust gently.

  4. Choose your output

Use Audio output in Controls to open Apple’s output picker. Choose an available device. You can then leave NoiseWeave or lock the screen while it plays.

If listening is interrupted

Phone calls and other system interruptions can pause playback. NoiseWeave resumes only when the system permits it; otherwise press Play again. Disconnecting headphones pauses playback so sound does not unexpectedly move to a speaker. Reconnect or choose the output you want before resuming.

If something looks different

Why did my music stop?

Check that Play alongside other audio is on, then restart the other app’s playback. Other apps and system interruptions can still affect an audio session.

Why is there no sound?

Check Play, NoiseWeave Volume, device volume and the selected Audio output. If headphones disconnected, press Play again after checking the output.

Does the website preview work this way?

No. The website previews one color for up to 60 seconds and stops when the tab is hidden. Background listening and mixing are app features.
